Background

Established in 1963 by Colin Folwell, Corbeau seats manufacture sport and race seats in their factory in Hastings, East Sussex. Colin was not satisfied with the support or protection the original seats in his race car gave him and, from there, Corbeau was born. This long established brand was the first of its kind and over the years the company has grown to include after-market seating for a wide array of customers including classic cars, marine seating and even gaming seats.

Corbeau can also proudly say that in 1992, they were the first British manufacturer to acquire FIA homologation on their motorsport seats – a huge achievement.

The brand has grown and expanded even more and now includes Corbeau Ultima Harnesses; these harnesses are as a result of endless research, cutting edge technology and unrivalled knowledge by their talented team.

The Problem

Their website used Magento software, this meant that managing the site was difficult and making changes were proving to be extremely time-consuming. The result of this was that they had to employ someone just to manage it which we felt was not acceptable. They needed a webiste that could be supported by a website agency for complex changes but orders could be managed by the sales team easliy.

The Solution

We built Corbeau Seats a bespoke WooCommerce website which is much easier for them to manage and update whilst also improving customer navigation around the site. Their sales staff can focus on fulfulling all of the orders and providing much better customer service whilst we maintained the site. Alongside this, we introduced SEO to Corbeau to help it rank higher up on search engines and therefore increase appropriate traffic to their new site.
